About Our Concrete Work in Laguna Niguel

We pour driveways, patios, walkways and other flatwork for homeowners around Laguna Niguel. Most of the concrete we tear out was poured decades ago, so every job starts with finding out what's under it and what the last crew left behind.

Two workers in work shirts and rubber boots kneel on a gravel and rebar base, hand-edging a freshly poured backyard concrete patio beside a stucco house and block wall

What We Find When the Old Concrete Comes Out

Breaking out an old driveway tells you a lot about a house. We find patches poured over cracks, slabs with no steel at all, wire mesh lying flat on the dirt where it does nothing, and base rock that was never compacted. Sometimes an old clay drain line or a sprinkler pipe runs right where the new pour needs to go.

None of that shows from the street. So before we give you a number, we walk the site with you. We look at how water runs off, where the slab has sunk or lifted, and we ask what you know about past work. If something can't be known until it's open, we tell you that up front and explain how we'd handle the likely cases.

We'd rather spend an extra hour on prep than watch a new slab crack along an old trench line. That means digging out soft soil, compacting a real base, setting forms so water moves away from your home, and putting rebar where it actually does its job.

How We Run a Job

  1. 01

    A walk-through before any price

We look at the slab, the grade and the soil before we quote. You get the estimate in writing, broken out by line, so you can see what demo, base, steel and finish each cost.

  2. 02

    Photos of what we uncover

If demo turns up a buried pipe, a root mat or an old footing, we stop and show you photos. We talk through the options and the cost with you before anything changes.

  3. 03

Slope that works for the house

Older patios and walks have often settled until they tip back toward the foundation. We set new forms so water drains away from your walls and doors. We also check door thresholds so the new surface doesn't end up too high.

  4. 04

A clean site when we leave

We protect lawns, planters and nearby paint, haul off the broken concrete and wash down the area. Before we go, we tell you how long to stay off the new work and when it can take a car.

Where We Work

We're based in Laguna Niguel and take jobs in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point and Laguna Beach. We also work in Ladera Ranch, Laguna Woods, Las Flores and Lake Forest. Plenty of homes around here sit under an HOA with rules on color and finish, so if you have guidelines, we work from them. The Service Areas page has more on each town.
